- WHO IS RESPONSIBLE FOR YOUR DATAThe Twelve Club’s Privacy Policy applies to the personal data that the Club collects and uses.
- PERSONAL DATA THE CLUB COLLECTS ABOUT YOUWhen using the term ‘personal data’ in the Club’s Privacy Policy, the Club means information that relates to you and allows the Club to identify you, either directly or in combination with other information that the Club may hold. Your personal data may include for example your name, your postal address, your email address and your telephone number.
- HOW AND WHY THE CLUB USES YOUR PERSONAL DATA The Club uses your personal data for the following purposes:
- To enable the Club to communicate with its members in respect of matters such as
- Payment of annual subscriptions
- Attendance at Club events
- Participation in the Club’s competitions and any associated side bets/bets with the Club book
- To include members’ names in both the Club’s annual booklets and on the Club’s website for the purposes of identifying the horses chosen by each member in the Club’s Flat and/or National Hunt competitions;
- To share members’ names, postal addresses and email addresses with the Club’s website administrator to enable the website to function.
- REQUESTING ACCESS TO YOUR PERSONAL DATAYou have a right to request access to the personal data that the Club holds about you. If you would like to request a copy of your personal data, or have questions in relation to your personal data, please contact the Club’s Honorary Secretary.
- SECURITY OF YOUR PERSONAL DATA The Club is committed to taking appropriate technical and organisational measures to protect your personal data against unauthorised or unlawful processing and against accidental loss, destruction or damage to your personal data.
The Club may disclose your personal data to the Club’s website administrator. The Club requires that administrator to have appropriate technical and organisational measures in place to protect your personal data.
The Club will retain your personal data for as long as it is needed in order to fulfil the purposes set out in the this Privacy Policy or in order to comply with the law.
- UPDATES TO THE CLUB’S PRIVACY POLICY The Club may make changes to this Privacy Policy from time to time, including as part of the new European data protection legislation which will start to apply on 25 May 2018 (the ‘General Data Protection Regulation’). The Club will update the Privacy Policy and will publish on the Club’s website any new version of this Policy.
